We suggest taking the tram (streetcar) for travel within Amsterdam (see this interactive map) and taking a train from Amsterdam Central Station (see http://www.ns.nl/en) to reach Hilversum Media Park (the train station of Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision where the main MediaEval Workshop will occur). Note that getting a hotel along the tram or train line might be easier/handier than getting one close to a specific venue. Finally: We recommend that you avoid taking a taxi within Amsterdam.
